Sheltering Strangers

Guestbook Documentary
2018

Just off the coast of Turkey sits the Greek island of Lesbos, home to the Moria refugee camp and the many Afghan, Syrian, and Iraqi families seeking asylum there. Sheltering Strangers captures the parallel accounts of Hamed, an Afghan teacher of English who escaped Taliban persecution, and Eleni, a resident of the neighboring island of Kos who opened her home to refugee children who have been displaced by war. TRANSCRIPT

Sheltering Strangers was produced by Angelos Bougas and Marilyn Smith.
