Yoyoikai: Conversando

Exchanging Stories
2018

Pedro Favarón and Chonon Bensho are a couple living in the Peruvian jungle. Although both were born in Peru, they originate from very different cultural societies and experiences. In Yoyoikai: Conversando, each addresses the divide between Peru’s indigenous and Mestizo populations and the story of how they were able to bridge that divide by sharing their language, healing practice, and love for one another. TRANSCRIPT

This film was produced by Pedro Favarón and Chonon Bensho with assistance from Marcio Perez de la Cruz, Reynaldo Vela Saavedra, and Karla Fernandez del Aguila.
