Reconciling the Stranger: Rites of Hospitality

Guestbook Project Documentary
2009

On July of 2009, an event called ‘Hosting the Stranger’ took place at Glenstal Abbey in Ireland. The performance was part of an international project known as the Guestbook and was inspired by the ritual traditions of hospitality in Celtic Christianity.

This documentary was produced by Eoin O’Súilleabháin James Corballis, Fanny Howe, and Richard Kearney with the support of Glenstal Abbey, the Jesuit Institute, and Institute of the Liberal Arts at Boston College.
