Radical Hospitality: From Thought to Action (Fordham University Press, 2020) provides a philosophical argument for the practice of hospitality which animates and informs the Guestbook’s project of ‘exchanging stories, changing history’. Co-authored by Guestbook directors, Richard Kearney and Melissa Fitzpatrick, the volume offers an analysis of four different kinds of hospitality – linguistic, narrative, confessional and carnal – before applying these models to a variety of practical examples in contemporary pedagogy, culture, moral psychology and politics.
